Scott Neal Stanton was born on May 26, 1948. He was raised in Sherman Oaks, CA, and enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On September 8, 1969, he was killed in action. Scott was part of a helicopter crew and he died of his wounds when his helicopter was shot down in Binh Dinh, South Vietnam. He is buried at the Los Angeles (CA) National Cemetery (Section: 55, Row: I-3). His name also appears on the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C.
